No idea what it cost curly, and ymmv, but it cost me (in $CAN): S&S 510G Complete Kit #33-5177 $869.00 $869.00 SKF ball bearings #6004 C3 $37.70 back in '08. The standard gear set turned out a wee bit loose on my motor, it's quiet as a mouse when cool but starts clattering at idle when hot. Doesn't bother me, though. I needed the extra bearings because I brinelled the first set by axe-I-dent. However, the new TC96 cam drive design with the larger inner needle bearings and plain outer with hydraulic tensioners should be way easier to work on than the POS that the original TC88 had. If you can predict the wear reliably, I'd be tempted to just replace them. OR Get a new bike every 50k/year (whatever comes first). Yesterday on my way to work I passed by a guy on the side of the road (on his cell phone, standing next to his car) with his windshield completely stove in and what looked like a giant black cloven hoofed lump in the ditch nearby. So I thought of you right away. Happy trails. -- dbh AH114, BS87

So I thought of you right away. That brings to mind a ride Ghost and I were taking just a few miles west of you many years ago (I think you were with us now that I remember). I swear that deer cleared Ghost by no less than a foot and jumped over my front fender. > Happy trails. Thanks for the info Darcy. I was quoted northwards of $800 or so.
