No need for 500's to slow, bring back the 50% more powerful and brutal
fast 1000's, and rightly so!

Arrrrrrhhhhh C A G I V A!!

They had the Spanish GP of 92' at the then brand new GP track
televised earlier in the week, got real excited as Eddie was leading
on the Cagiva, well for around 6 laps or so...

Then doohan hit the front and Rainey stalked, 3 from the end Rainey
hit the front and doohan just followed him home to 2nd.

Unlike say God/Goat, Rossi, who did the pass of the year on Lorenzo at
the same track, last lap, last corner and then outdragged him to the
line, pure genuis, alas doohan was not brave enough to have a go, or
just to slow.

Bikes moved around more then, but those bikes v's ones of today where
slow as, even a 125cc now has a quicker lap & o/a quicker race pace
too.

ALL racing is good to watch, even if you know the winner is, look at
the Titanic movie, all know the story yet its one of the most watched
films in history....

And a great race it was too. For those who remember (and how could you
forget this one) this was the race when K.Schwantz grabbed the oil flag
(they don't have these any more do they) from the marshall and sat on
the side of the track warning the other riders to stay wide.

It was a beaut trip down memory lane! Schwantz with his odd sit-up
riding style and Gardner looking as determined as a Terminator (and
wasn't Foggy was a handsome boy too?) Pete Goddard finished well too.

Pity it started 40mins late so I didn't get all the Goodwood festival
afterwards.
