Cheers Timo, that's what I thought. my recent purchase of an i5 came with a thermal paste syringe but from the description my mate gave me, I think that there is a pad. Anyone > here in the know? > If it's a genuine AMD Boxed Processor then it will come with either an AVC 7UH40Q001, Foxconn 2ZR71-406, Foxconn 2ZR71-409 or a Coolermaster HK8-7M53A-A2-GP Heatsink, all of these will be pre-applied with a Dow Corning TC-5022 Thermal Interface Material. If he's buying it from somewhere that splits OEM trays and bungs in a heatsink of their choice then your in lucky dip territory. |
