I had Magnum carbon fibre on mine, the note was
fantastic. Magnum pipes are made in Qld, worth
giving them a call for info on the pipes.
I found them to be extremely helpful, I had to
replace a couple of parts on mine, it had been
down the road before I got the bike.
Also , I am not sure about the situation is now
with regards compliance plates, but at the time
the magnums had compliance plates, but then the
staintunes didn't.
I also liked the fact that the magnums could be
repaired.
I personally would buy magnums as a first choice
after having a set.
I absolutely loved them

Thanks Des, I'll take your advice. I suppose the final decision will
come down to the best I can afford. I priced the staintunes at around
$1300 which is a bit XE.

And thanks everyone who replied, this is truly a wonderfully supportive
newsgroup.
