Camchain tensioner bolt on the front of the block is the first thing to have a look at. Take a close look at the wiring, the black one has a Cibie and the bunch of wiring and connectors that should be inside the headlamp shell will not fit so there is a nasty taped up kludge hidden behind the headlamp. Its a lovely looking bike but putting that mess back to standard is going to need a replacement loom. -- 03 GS500K2 76 Honda 400/4 project 78 Honda 400/4 in black 06 Sukida SK50QT (Slanty eyed shopping trolley)

It shouldn't. Cibie lights were a very standard bolt-on improvment, though ISTR they needed a relay or resistor or something as well. -- BMW K1100LT Ducati 750SS Triumph Street Triple Honda CB400F Suzuki TS250 Suzuki GN250 chateaudotmurrayatidnetdotcom Nothing damages a machine more than an ignoramus with a manual, a can-do attitude and a set of cheap tools |
