Idea for self-cancelling blinkers
I'm riding a lot in the city with this new bike. Mostly turns off the blinkers by auto-pilot, but not always. And having them running is a nuisance to following traffic. So I thought of a simple solution. Trouble is, perhaps there's something I haven't thought of. The push-in blinker canceller is just another ... 14 Dec 2008 06:04
Country towns not well
Just back from a long promised long weekend out of Sinney. Bell's line, then the old Tarana road to Bathurst, twice round the mountain as homage to sacred ground, then the back road past Abercrombie Caves and through Tuena (the front road, through Oberon and Taralga, is now wholly sealed and the locals at Crookwe... 6 Dec 2008 04:25

BMW panniers?
Hi folks. Any of you lot (apart from GWF) got a pair of BMW panniers that would fit a 1998 R850R lounging about in a shed, all unwanted? When I bought the bike, from Procycles, about four months ago, they did offer a pair of new panniers for some $840, and I, stupidly, didn't accept their offer. Went in ... 26 Sep 2008 17:42

Advice on muffler for Yamaha TRX850
Just purchased a '96 Yamaha TRX850. It's a very nice bike but the stock mufflers make it sound pretty lame. What's a good brand of muffler that will bring out the rumble? (Yes I know it's Japanese but some of us have kids and a morgage so the best we can do is pretend it's an Italian twin). ... 15 Jul 2008 16:28
Royal Enfield
Ok guys, I know the Royal Enfields from India aren't up to Japanese quality etc but can anyone give me a fair and honest opinion of how these bikes are? I can live with maintaining an 'old school' bike as I'm mechanically competent but I wouldn't want a bike that's forever falling to bits or needing constant m... 9 Jul 2008 21:58
