Speaking to their customer support lady, I did get the impression that I wasn't the first person that week to have this problem. That wasn't my experience with an Italian ticket. I got the bill for Hertz supplying the details and then I got the ticket directly from the Italian plod, which I promptly ignored. Take a few quid from everybody for a couple of weeks and then refund it without quibble. I wonder how much interest that earns them? Especially as everybody must be some tens of thousands every day.
