How did the walk go, what you managed of it? I organised the Raad Ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) Challenge for Isle of Man Scouts this year, so far 81 have managed to walk around the Island. I last did it 32 years ago and I don't remember parts being as hard as they were this time. I could hardly walk after the first section from Douglas to Maughold, as being on the road, it's pretty hard on the feet. The miles of soft sand and shingle from Ramsey to the Point of Ayre werent too pleasant either. Ash

I organised the Raad Ny Foillan > (Way of the Gull) Challenge for Isle of Man Scouts this year, From Douglas round to just north of Peel where the winds blowing offshore made us fear for our safety on a stretch of cliff and we retired to a pub... For those who haven't tried, on the mainland parts of this path would be considered too dangerous for other than experienced climbers and athletes..:-) We will do the rest another time - any excuse to go there more:-) Chris D -- -- The Deuchars BBB#40 COFF#14 Yamaha XV750SE, Suzuki GS550t, Honda CG125 (MSOHP) http://www.Deuchars.org.uk
