OK, pedantically, when I clicked through to the "when and where" page,
looking for application dates ( http://www.ruffle.me.uk/cadwell/include/when.html
) it refers to a date at the start of August.

I'll get the 12R sorted at the weekend - it just needs the battery
charged and MOTed (and taxed, but that's a minor concern...)

Ah. well, Russell hasn't changed the underlying pages. But the dates
(23d and 24th Sep) are on the main page

Modern ones have the 680 engine so not quite as dull as they used to be
with 10 more horses but ISWYM.
Plenty of other tourers out there with nice soft comfy suspension.
