I used the Canon SLRs 300D, 1000D and currently the 500D and I'd recommend any of them. In the UK they often come with a 18-55mm kit lens, and also can have an offer of buying a 70-30mm at the same time for a reduced price. -- Kev

Likewise the Nikons. I've got the D40 and it seems alright, so I'd recommend whatever the modern equivalent is. Lets face it, all the big name DSLRs are going to suffice. -- ogden | gsxr1000 | rgv250

Often available in kits with extra lenses, the 70-300mm being a popular one. Battery life is huge, IME. Flash, OTOH, leaves a certain amount to be desired, although that is possibly just me. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) 116 Giulietta 3.0l Sprint 1.7 GTV TS GT 3.2 V6 Triumph Sprint ST 1050: It's blue, see. www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk |
