One would involve participants posting pictures to an online picture hosting site. I haven't used these online sites before. Is there one that would allow participants to post to the same site or folder or group or however they have them set up? The promo would extend for a full year and I would like to have pictures posted over the course of the promotion. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hope you have better luck than our HOG group os having with the Prairie Regional Rally.

Once you sign up you can create a group and people can easily upload pics. And it is free. Twitpic might be an option, but I don't really have any experience with it.

This one isn't a HOG gig, but they all take a lot of work and a lot of help. I just took a look at your site to see when your Rally is scheduled thinking I might ride out, but we have a gig going on at the same time: http://actualriders.ca/radiuminfo.htm I would have thought you'd have a ton of experience and assistance within your Chapter for holding a rally. You seem to have a full schedule and a reasonable registration fee. Are the registration numbers not what you expected? We will be building on a campout we do every year. Having some experience with a smaller event will help us with something bigger. We have a terrific group of talented volunteers to help pull it off, which is half the battle. Our plan is to combine a campground and the host hotel as ride centrals. I like having a campground in the mix. To my mind there is nowhere better for a bunch of bikers to meet than around a campfire, enjoying a cold beer and a smoky or two off the grill. It's a pretty simple recipe but it always seems to work. Good luck with your event. If the timing was better I'd ride out and buy you a drink. It's been a while.

I'm not a chapter member although I am a National member. I'm not that much of a joiner and they are a leeetle too organized for me. They have a lot of people involved but I think some have pissed off others etc. Typical organizational stuff. I'll be working during the event anyway but I might go to the dinner. Bob |
