From: "Virginia Squire" notmy on 6 Apr 2007 20:11 Evening folks, I am buying this round and quite frankly, it's Friday and I need one myself!! I have priced out a Harley electronic cruise control ($548.07) for my '98 Electra Glide Classic. Since no kit was available, the dealer priced it from the replacement parts catalog for an Ultra. Has anyone ever attempted this addition? The dealer tells me that they have previously made this addition. Part of the problem is that I have talked to two dealers. One says 2 hours installation and the other 6 hours. To be perfectly honest, I don't have a clue it either one is correct. By the way, mine is a carbureted version. Has anyone added a cruise control to an Electra Glide Classic? Thanks in advance for any response. -- Virginia Squire '98 FLHTC '02 VT750DC

I've got carpal tunnel fairly bad, and without the cruise I couldn't do 300 mile days, much less the 6 - 800 I'm used to. -- Larry It's hard to ride while eating pain pills. I probably spent that much time but half of it was spent running all the wiring through the handlebars. It was a very straight forward install on the RK but it was FI. I wasn't aware that they even made one for a carbureted model. Mine ran about $300 in 98 or 99 and it was the best money I've ever spent. If I decide to get another touring bike it'll be a Carbed Evo so let me know how it turns out. Dale R
