Quick question from a newbie... bought my first HD last summer and need to get some new tires... I'm thinking I am going to buy some metzeler me880 www's... I bought a 98 FLHTP and will be riding 2 up with some baggage a fourth of the time... I'm hoping the WWW will look good with the birch white bike... My questions are which sizes? What is "HB"? 140? 130? 150? and why? I've found some reasonably priced tires on ebay... ME880 140/90HB-16 WWW REAR for $118 including shipping... ME880 130/90HB-16 WWW REAR for $120 including shipping... ME880 130/90HB-16 WWW FRONT 110-13387 for $115 including shipping... ME880 150/80H16 WWW Front #1415200 for $118 including shipping... Basically the "H" is the speed rating (130 mph) (one hour, I think) "B" stand for Bias-Belted. A Metzeler tire with just the "H" rating is the standard bias tire without the reinforcing belt that is rated at 130 mph speed rating. I don't know what will fit on your bike other than a 130. I do know that the 140-90 and 150-90 tires are both incrementally taller and will throw off your speedo a wee bit. I used to use a 140-90 Dunlop on the rear of my '00 FXST. My speedo was off by about 4 mph at 70. Now I run a Dunlop MU85B16 which is basically a 140 with a slightly lower profile and my speedo is correct again. Regards, Bill F. BS #148

Google it & then do a little more research. You'll probably beat that price. BTW are you running a Metzler on the front? Be careful using two different brands at the same time, handling may be affected, and death or serious injury may occur.
