You need a locking pin kit for a start.

Then you need to set to TDC on NO.1, there's a plug in the crankcase
(front, just above the AC pump if it has one), where you need to bung a
pin in, and rest the crank against it. Then there's one to go in the
camshaft, and IIRC a mark on the crank pulley to line up.

It's been a while now. If you need to borrow the kit, I have one here if
you can't get one nearer.

Yes, we'd kind of sussed that via google.

I'll check out local purchases. We *think* he may be a jammy sod and not
done any damage. Camshaft is OK, and no sign of broken bits so far.
