Never, ever rake your lawn unless you are trying to achieve the best
kept garden in the town award. Sweep it with a beesom if you must but
never rake a patch of recreational grass.

Wait until it has not rained for 2 weeks and then let a bunch of kids
loose on it for the afternoon. They will grind the dead plant to powder
which will then simply disappear back into the lawn as a slow release
feed.
