Could we add a few of the politicians who seem more concerned with
playing the blowout for political profit than with getting it stopped?

As I said elsewhere, I suspect that the fingers will start pointing more
at the regulatory authorities soon. Hell, gotta blame someone... BP is

I doubt the media will allow Obama to let the focus move off BP. The
regulators are a minor player in this game. The major figures are, and
will be BP and Obama. That's not going to change. I don't like BP's
chances.

The cowards way out too. Further there will be criminal prosecutions.
BP will have to throw some sacrificial lamb under the bus to satisfy
the criminal charges. Will they be willing to do that? Maybe.

Nope also going the other way, but when under high pressure it locks
