Valid point all, but I don't think the OP is at a stage in his photographic
career where buying a more expensive lens would dramatically improve the
quality of his pics. The issues on the original photo don't appear to be
lens-related to me, and too many people jump for expensive kit, to try and
solve issues which are largely technique related.

The Tamron 70-300 is definitely one of the better cheapies. To recommend
the OP goes out and buys an 'L' tube is daft.

Whilst it's loads better than mine, I didn't actually do anything to mine in
software. But those trees are still fuzzy...
