It's a few miles out of the city but does very good food and beer. Some friends stayed there recently and do so every year for a reunion. My aunt and uncle stayed at the local Premier Inn a couple of years ago (the one in Barnwood) and it wasn't too bad. We had a Christmas meal at the attached pub (The Wheatstone) which was quite adequate. -- Malc Rusted and ropy. Dog-eared old copy.
