The upside would be that anyone owning a Harley made before the move will
have bragging rights at the bar. "Ohhh, nice bike, but mine's a REAL piece
of Milwaukee Iron. That'll send used bike prices up and new bike prices
down.

It wouldn't surprise me to see older unmodded bikes costing more than new
ones, just like what happened with Fender. when CBS took them over.

And H.D when they were bought AMF

No such thing happened during the brief period that Harley-Davidson
was owned by American Machine & Foundry.

True. I own an old Chicago Schwinn bicycle. It is definitely more
desirable than the new Chinese Schwinns. Just like pre and post AMF
Harleys.
