You might want to read that which you posted. The true etymology seems
to be there mixed in with modern misuses. Interesting, sad, typical...
based upon mocking people who do the dirty work in the world, not lazy
bums.

Thanks to this, we'll have to start splitting hairs. Let's use Winstead
raggie as the term of art for those described in the article, and just
plain raggie for the other, which is now in use coast to coast, on a US
nuclear sub somewhere, in Japan and in Ireland.

Any way you like it, but I do know *exactly* what the wiki article is
talking about... There is something in the water up there, for sure...;)
