Sandy,

Other than moving the bars back and forth like the other guys
sugested.That's about all I can sugest from a technical end. But seems
to me that calling a lock smith would be a heck of a lot cheaper than
having the bike towed to a dealer. If you have a motor club membership
they might even pay most of the cost.
I've got an old jeep that does the same darn thing. So far lots of
wiggling and pushing the key in and out has solved the problem.
