$35 in our currency (~18.5USD). Ouch!
expensive temporary fix!
It is the retaining compound specifically made for bearings (not sure
on specific product number), friend bit the bullet and tonight we'll
try to glue it on place. Even if it works, friend is inclined to sell
the bike.

The top temperature on this engine, as reported on a 24hour endurance
test I have read on an old magazine (the bike I recently bought has
exactly same engine, thus my interest on it) is, iirc, 130C.

I used it on my '99's front wheel hub. I figured the next time the
bearing wears out it's going to mean a new hub, although they say you
can remove the bearing if you can heat it to 250C. I figure I'll
probably destroy the hub in the process. So far it's held up just
fine, though not quite the stress that a crank bearing is under ;)

It runs! 4 hours reassembling, went to bed over 1am... No weird noises
so far!
Friend bought loctite 601, said withstands 150C... Hope it holds up!

While no potable alcohol was involved in yesterday's wrenching
session, I feel like the guy on this song, only that the clock rang at
05:30am...

El Hombre Resaka Baila Ska
Ska-P

¡Quiero bailar Ska!, gozo bailando Ska.
¡Quiero bailar Ska!, gozo bailando Ska.
¡Quiero bailar Ska!, gozo bailando Ska, Ska.
¡Quiero bailar Ska!, gozo bailando Ska.
