....then what's going to hit me next?

Firstly I lost my news-swerver. Which means I've also lost all my
unread posts because there's no way to synchronise between the departed
Brunel swerver and this one I'm test-driving.

Then I lost my job. I thought I was safe on a two-year rolling
grant but apparently the possibility of grant cuts from Swindon Town
Football Club is so great that Brunel can't renew my contract on October
1st. So, no Higgs discovery for me[1], and mebbe I'll be going back to Oz
earlier than I thought.

So what am I going to lose next, my virginity?

I'm going to have to change my .sig.

[1] Unless they find it before October 1st, 2012, when my signing rights
for CMS papers will expire.

Thought they were shutting up shop for most of 2012 anyway? Or would
there be backlogs of data to analyse?

I have had this happen often enough that I just view all posts as
unthreaded, read all the ones newer than the date I lost the server
access that I'm interested in, then let that Mark guy do the reading for
the rest. Then re-do the threading. YMMV, of course....

Not good. OTOH, you may be getting back just in time for Summer barbies.

No predictions on that. <G>
