I parked the black Tenere on the footpath at the Hilton in Adelaide.
They were not impressed with it. It might have been the crate...
They wanted to charge me $20 for "valet" parking however I would have to
park it myself. I thanked them but declined.
I was then offered free parking in the basement (valet parking was over the
road) and I accepted this.

I'm afraid google stopped being useful as an archive *and* search tool
for USENET at least a year ago.

The claimed fix has not actually happened yet, 6 months later.

Try search for a word you know you personally have used in this group,
and you'll probably not find any matches.

They actually make regular looking shorts with padded lycra attached
inside. And I have a few pairs. And they are uncomfortable as heck,
the way they stick and don't sit properly. For short distances,
regular shorts are more comfortable. As such, I haven't worn them in
years and should probably throw them out. Much better to go the real
thing.

Friend of mine has a set of MTb shorts which have detachable padded
insides, seems to do OK.

I used to wear lycra with padding when I regularly commuted on an
upright, the first ride using them convinced me it was the way to go.

Now of course I don't need the padding... I wear woolen longs in the
winter and cargo shorts in the summer.

THe longs are good for motorcycle wear under jeans in the winter!

Might have to spring for another set full price, Torpedo 7 had 'em on
special a couple of years ago.

ObMoto: put the towbar back on the Noggie today, thing's damn near a
car!
