Ditto on "493679-001", that isn't a Suzuki part number. Go somewhere other than Bikebandit.com to get the real Suzuki part numbers. http://www.partsfish.com isn't the cheapest place online to get parts but their fiche application has fairly good coverage of Suzuki's range, especially older bikes. If you don't fancy paying $70 per coil from http://www.ronayers.com, you might look at http://www.dynaonline.com/english/coils.htm. -- '01 SV650S '99 EX250-F13 '98 ZG1000-A13 '81 CM400T OMF #7

Right they are Bike Bandit Numbers. Where are you getting Suzuki numbers from and along same line how do I know if I need 2Ohm of 5OOm coild to go with teh used CDI I purchased? > > Go somewhere other than Bikebandit.com to get the real Suzuki part > numbers. http://www.partsfish.com isn't the cheapest place online > to get parts but their fiche application has fairly good coverage of > Suzuki's range, especially older bikes. Says the coil is discontinued, also battery box. They are using exactly same pictures as Bike Bandit but do not show any part numbers, until you go into the shopping cart and then it does not say if their numbers or Suzuki numbers. You have to know how to interpret the part numbers that partsfish uses, the actual OEM part number is part of the URL that you click on when you click the 'add to cart' button, you can copy and paste that string into notepad and easily figure out which portion of the URL is the part number, as I did. > If you don't fancy paying > >> $70 per coil from http://www.ronayers.com, you might look at > > > Doesn't stock anything older than 10 years WRONG. Ron Ayers parts fiche doesn't show your bike, true- but you _can_ order nearly any Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, or Kawasaki part from them if you know the part number, including the original equipment coils for your bike. http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts.cfm?searchstring=33410-34210 Returns: Part Number: 33410-31311 Description: COIL ASSY, IGNI Source: SUZUKI Price: $70.82 You are right, the battery box is discontinued, but that's something that is very easy to fabricate a perfectly serviceable replacement for, with a piece of sheet metal stock and a pair of tin snips. Ron Ayers and other dealers sell plenty of parts for bikes much older than 10 years of age, I know because I've ordered parts for my GL1200 and CM400T from RA and those bikes are 20 and 25 years old. >> http://www.dynaonline.com/english/coils.htm. > > > Doesn't list my model But they do sell coils that will work perfectly in your GS650G. What to do? Why not phone or email Dyna, and ask them which coils are the right ones? That's what I would do. They _will_ know because they've sold literally thousands of coils for that exact bike. -- '01 SV650S '99 EX250-F13 '98 ZG1000-A13 '81 CM400T OMF #7
