Never having been that far on a bike, I fantasize about riding Old US Route 66 to that terminus. There are newbies who have rented their first Harley in Chicago and done that with a tour group. Of course, by the time they get to California, they are old hands. Judging from their trip reports I suppose they are depressed by the traffic they encounter in the last few miles.
