Maybe a tad optimistic but this looks like a rather nice one.
Pity about the seat but that is easy to sort out.

Yes, I'm watching this one. The BIN is too high, really. It's worth
maybe 1500-1700.

But I *hate* it when people paint engine barrels, like this one has had.
The side panel decals are wrong, too. No lifting handle. No lid for the
tool tray. And the seat shouldn't have those silly chrome strips.

It's worth a hell of a lot as parts, mind.....

Also because it's clearly advertised as an F1 and that's an F2 frame....

Wrong.

There is no F1 model as such. The original bike was just called the
CB400F. The first ones had the swinging arm-mounted pillion pegs.

They moved the pegs to frame mounts after a few months, but the bikes
were otherwise unchanged (although I think the cylinder head studs were
lengthened slightly).

The F2 name came with the yellow and maroon models. People tend to call
the original bike with the s/a pillion pegs the F1, which is technically
inaccurate.

I shall now take off my anorak, the one with the little red 400F on the
shoulder.
