This seems a suitable point to acknowledge your stepping aside from the
machine I'm using, which with the addition of a suitable graphics card
and couple of HDDs is providing sterling service still. And it is
still enormously quieter than the barn-sized thing it replaced, for
which Elly is suitably grateful, on a regular basis ;-)

About 2.5 hours battery life just doing officy/browsing things.

HP do an add on battery pack and I really like the design of it, it
isn't your usual "fat sausage" that clips along the back, it's a thin
plate the same size as the laptop which clips onto the bottom.
