The scenario may apply to some 15 year olds but does not apply to any of my teenage relatives. Zero tolerance of under age drinking? Again not true. -- wessie at tesco dot net BMW R1150GS

And verily, didst Paul Corfield <aooy65(a)dsl.pipex.com> hastily babble thusly: > So what does ukrm make of Sir Liam Donaldson saying that parents are > turning their children into binge drinkers by allowing them a sip of > beer or wine when they're young and by drinking alcohol in front of > them? > > http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8413559.stm > > While it was a bit harder to get hold of alcohol when I was a teenager I > can certainly remember getting very drunk. The french give their kids wine from an early age and we never hear anything about their problems with binge drinking. If anything, letting kids have the odd tipple from an early age would teach them to drink responsibly, rather than think "gotta drink as much as possible, last orders in an hour". -- | spike1(a)freenet.co.uk | "I'm alive!!!
