I heard that if you don't swap the V5 for a V5C you might lose the registration number and have to re-register it if you want to get it back on the road. Don't know how true it is. Doesn't seem to have happened yet. It's a nuisance that they send the SORN reminder too early, giving me time to file and forget it.... -- Eiron.
