Husqvana and 2-strokes really ? One mag' I picked up suggested one enduro bike would be road legal - but maybe only in countries without very strict emission legislation . 2 strokes back in MotoGP then! woo-hoo; NOT! ... 12 Aug 2010 21:25
Silverstone WSB No discussion here on the WSB meeting last weekend - this place seems to be dying. Anyway, the racing was bloody good. Especially worth watching are the last 5 laps of the Supersport race, and much of the second WSB race, especially Crutchlow's exits through the last corner onto the start/finish straight. I'... 6 Aug 2010 07:13
Ducati's Winglets Interesting theory on the reason for Ducati's winglets. Makes some sense to me, though I also think there may be better configurations for redirecting the air at/around the radiator exit. http://motomatters.com/opinion/2010/08/02/those_ducati_winglets_what_are_they_real.html ... 3 Aug 2010 09:17

Spain? Italy? It's all Yurp, ain't it? I just got round to watching the podium ceremony from Laguna Seca, where whoever was in charge of playing the winner's national antherm started playing the Italian anthem instead of the Spanish one. It played for 5~10 seconds or so, stopped and then the correct one was played. On the one hand, this was a simple... 4 Aug 2010 23:30
Rossi on the R1 Here's an interesting quote from David Emmett on MotoMatters.com: http://motomatters.com/news/2010/07/21/whither_jb_the_mysterious_future_of_jere.html "When Rossi rode Yamaha's YZF R1-based World Superbike machine at Misano and Brno, Yamaha's WSBK engineers said afterwards they'd learned more in those couple of... 22 Jul 2010 14:46

Any "hero" stories of broken-bone riders returning early to race? When Rossi broke his leg, I thought "Sit the season out, or at least three races!" What has he got to prove? He doesn't need to hurry it. Why on earth would he get back in there any sooner? Then I realized that he's a motorcycle racer: where else would he be but on a MotoGP bike? I remember seeing Doohan ridi... 25 Jul 2010 08:42
Rossi back on the horse Rossi rode a superbike spec R1 are Misano yesterday http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/valentino+rossi+completes+succesful+misano+outing His 1'38.2 time was as fast as Biaggi went during FP1 at the last WSB meeting there (although Superpole was around 3 seconds faster). Catalunya MotoGP Okay, thrashing through the data a bit, the GOAT-ETMCSV (the Greatest Of All Time - Early-To-Mid Current Season Version), Lorenzo, was doing 42.8s/42.9s in the morning, which slipped-slided away to low-mid 43s in the heat of the afternoon. Capirossi moans - Denning has the answer Well, not exactly. Capirossi said that a distant 13th at Assen has made him angry and Denning has replied "We have to keep working hard and keep focused to find the key that will allow the riders to perform to the best of their abilities." but this distant and vacuous leadership has taken Suzuki to where they are n... 30 Jun 2010 13:12
IOM I was sad to see another countryman of mine die at the TT. Isn't it time to stop ? I don't buy the "free will" thing. There's money to be made, and reputations to be built. I also don't buy this "he died doing what he loved". What bullshit; he loved his wife and children and his friends too. ... 1 Jul 2010 04:34

British GP: 125 and Moto2 races I hope most of you have the opportunity to see these races - both were fantastic. The 'new' layout of Silverstone seems to have created a fast track that generates close racing. Silverstone: And the winner will be....? Who does the best on tracks that are completely new? Ben Spies and Marco Melandri. What a neat podium that would be with a third satellite bike up there as well. Never happen but it'd be really fun.
