Oh christ yes. When I bought the DVD player, the whole place was
staffed by teenagers. The chap who was manning the audio section new
literally *nothing*, and could barely open the box for me. While
taking my money, his junior colleague siddled into view and said he
couldn't answer the phone (which had been ringing out) because he
"hadn't been trained".

It's even more of a challenge when you're over in mainland Europe.
