I guess you mean the gas cap cause if there's a vent in this early 78 tank I haven't seen it. To check if venting is the problem I guess I need to get the bike to die at speed and then crack open the cap to see if pressure rushes in and the bike fires back up. Not going to be able to test it today as a wet cold front just pushed into town. The sucker caught me on my way home from my annual haircut and was pretty nasty. I was soaked pretty good just from the 2 miles I rode back from the Supercuts shop.
