Just so. With a clear understanding that if it all goes pear-shaped, *no
one* is coming in after you, you're on your own.

I'd give it a go, in their place.

The authorities seem very slow dealing with the problem
considering that the Viet Cong repaired bombed bridges
on the Ho Chi Minh Trail overnight.

I also suspect that despite the _de rigeur_ RTB bravado, WUN would be
mightily pissed off if he did need help, and no one came.
