The 300 ought to get around 65 miles from a tank, depending on how
hard it's ridden.
I took one Idaho trip of 65 miles on my '99 EC250, but carried an
extra liter of fuel in a pop bottle.
I remember Mike Baxter coming in after dark from an Atlanta trip. He
was being towed, because he ran out of gas 3 or 4 miles from camp.

I'm bringing my '06 300 for me to ride, and the '04 EC300 is coming
as a loaner for either you or Volker.
If there is room, and i get some high altitude Del Orto jetting help,
I'll probably try to bring the '94 FE350 Husaberg (as a back-up).

I am depending on someone else to bring a second loaner for one of
you two to ride.

I'm getting excited about the ride.

Jim

At race pace, I get about 45-50 miles out of my stock tank. At my
current level of fitness and aggression, I expect about 60 miles tops.
2 liter soda bottles are what I use to carry fuel as they fit perfect
in my Camel-Bak. Once I dump the fuel, I then have a good way to
transfer fuel or get water for an overheated bike.
