I think missing three races is his way of throwing in the towel for this season and allowing himself to lose on his own terms rather than being beaten. His comments after the Sachsenring race ("I was pretty happy with the race to be honest, considering the way things have been going lately. It's the first time I feel like I have actually been involved in something for a while...") don't really square with his most recent comments ("After five extremely difficult races due to my health ... we have taken the difficult decision not to contest the next three rounds of the championship..."). He seems to be looking for excuses at the moment, so maybe taking a step back will be the best thing for him. John

Or, as someone's just pointed out to me, he might be iller than we're being led to believe, in which case my judgement may be way off line - let's hope that's not the case (for his sake, not mine!). Anyway, time will tell... John
