Engine hesitates when cold, normal?
I bought my first ever bike, a used 05 Suzuki Boulevard S50, a month ago. When I first ride it after it has sat long enough to cool off it seems to hesitate around and below 25% throttle (I'm not an expert, but that'd be my guess.) After it warms up it seems to quit hesistating, but pops when closing the thro... 15 Aug 2006 19:06

1977 cb750 electrical problems
I just bought an old cb750 recently and now I'm having some electrical problems. I was riding down the rode when all of a sudden the bike stalled out. I pulled over to the side of the road and I noticed all the electrical was out. I tried kick starting it and push starting it and I even got someone to try and ju... 14 Aug 2006 21:10
`82 Yamaha XJ650 Won't Start But Runs Great NEED ADVICE
I have a 1982 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim with about 11K miles on it. The problem is that it is very hard to start or won't start - unless I put a very small amount of starter fluid in the air box opening. Once I do this, it starts right up and runs well. Idles a little slow until warm (I think this is normal). After 2... 18 Aug 2006 15:35
Rebuilt Petcock | Fuel Leak 20-Times Worse
This is a slight continuation of thread: Gas Leak on 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ750J | Petcock and Carb I thought this warranted a new thread since my questions were answered in said thread. I just received the petcock rebuild kit today and went forward to do so. I had taken apart the petcock before so I knew ... 18 Jul 2006 21:59

1975 Honda CB750 - Leaking carb...
Greetings... I've been trying to sort this one out for a while... thank you in advance for any advice. First I had a very steady gas leak from the carburator to the point where the engine would flood. I adjusted throttle and float heights and now the bike stays running, but carb no 2 still leaks - sometimes just... 18 Jul 2006 21:59
gas draining from carburetor drain hose
(yes, I know that's what it's for). Started running very rough, missing, won't idle. When stopped, gas drains from carb drain hose. doesn't drain while engine running. shut gas off and stops draining. with gas off, will drain if drain screw opened (so gas in bowl). will drain with drain screw closed if gas is on. s... 18 Jul 2006 21:59
Gas Leak on 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ750J | Petcock and Carb
I just recently noticed a gas leak on my bike. I first noticed it dripping from my left-most carb (#1). It was leaking from many different locations that it should *not* be leaking through because of gaskets (like the float bowl seam). It then started leaking from the overflow on the crab. Well, I took the gas ... 18 Jul 2006 21:59
Is there a quick and dirty way to do fork seals without a press?
Hi All, I have a leaking fork seal on my '80 CB750K and the manual shows the procedure for replacing it - but it requires use of a press plus a "spring installation tool" to put the fork back together. I assume the spring is strong enough that trying to manhandle it together would be impossible. I don't have... 18 Jul 2006 21:58
