Flat performance question
Apparently most bike street tubless tires are designed to stay on the rim if they go flat, a few aren't. In the sense that you can hobble along at walking speed for quite a way and not wreck the rim. Changing crank seals on an RD-400
My 77 RD-400 needs new crank seals. I have the factory service manual, but its procedures assume a complete teardown is required, and goes into the detail necessary to completely dissasemble engine & trans. This ole hoss breaks down all the time due to age and if something is running right then a little speed and vibration is all it takes to make something start leaking oil or gas or air out of the tires. Clutch noise?
Older CBR600, lo-miles. Engine warm, accelerate up hill, maybe 35 mph, in 3rd gear. Reach top, dis-engage clutch, coast down hill in 3rd. with clutch lever actuated.
