Are the Hells Angels a cult?

According to a PhD scholar Michael Langone, cults,

"dictate sometimes in great detail how members should think, act, and
feel ... claim a special, exalted status"

Furthermore, the highly politically Hells Angels Toronto website,
realdealnews.com, illustrates another cultic attribute,

"Pursuit of political goals while operating under the rubric of a
nonpolitical, charitable, or religious organization"

Numerous references by the Hells Angels to the occult, such as satanic
logos (the "666" and death heads), and their seeming representation to
the public as a potentially violent organization, agree with Langone's
definition of cult status.

See a neighbour's impression, quoted on the realdealnews.com, that,

"[the Hells Angels] are like a watchdog for the area. They have
(security) cameras and they keep an eye on people coming and going"

Kinda sounds like the republican party, the democratic party, gov't in
general, the cops and society in general!
