It's ~230km from my place, you head past Goulburn on the Braidwood Rd, towards Tarago. (I can give you more precise instructions in person, I'm not going to "out" BTH's address in public...) One thing you might want to be aware of with a rental is that you'll need to drive the last ~8km on dirt - it's a proper road (Mayfield Rd), but you might want to check the rental policy doesn't prohibit taking the car on unsealed roads...
