From: oldfart on 16 Jan 2008 20:06 Sorry, just a poor attempt at humor. The local boys are gearing up for a ride this weekend so I might dust off the old Husky 250 xc and test the freshened up Motoplat. Thank you Vance T. Smith. We only have snow on the local mountains. The rest of the desert is mearly damp from last week's rain. Daytime temps around 50 degrees and horribly sunny. All you east coasters are invited (as well as everyone else) for a good long ride then BBQ. We'll see y'all here. OF

The part about wrapping the chain around the tire threw me, especially since I considered using an old 520 chain as a traction device. If I hadn't just cleaned my garage & thrown out an old chain, I would have tried it. -Jeff-

After giving this some thought I think I would pass on riding a motorcycle in the snow. I would be better off with a cup of coffee sitting in front of a fireplace with something blond in my lap. OF |
