From: another nogn on 26 Jul 2010 20:27 Shirley refresh the beverages for those that have their hands up... Folks I have an 04 Heritage Softail, while doing a bit of maintenance yesterday I realized the foot brake is not activating the brake light, hand brake works fine. My trusty meter tells me the pressure switch is working, it also tells me I have a good wire (R/Y) from that pressure switch to under the seat...where the wire disappears into the harness under the tank. Now according to my service manual that wire connects up to the R/Y wire coming from the hand brake, then the R/Y wires heads back to the #7 connector and onto the brake light. Can anyone tell me where the wire from the foot switch actually connects to the wire from the hand switch - under the tank, at the hand switch or elsewhere? I'm thinking that connection has parted ways. Shirley bring some popsicles for the crowd!
