Just got back from kempton Park, where there was one for sale. Canadian
import, utterly mint and original, only 12k miles: the best I have ever,
ever seen (and I've only ever seen one other, actually).

1950. God, I was tempted. I phoned Lozzo, who went into spasm and told
me to buy it. I've got some pix of it which I'll put up when I have a
moment.

So did I? Well, no, in the end. I think I could have haggled a bit, and
I think on Fleabay it might fetch as much as 2.5k, but I resisted.

However, I did buy:

One army hexamine field cooker, for the Elefant (cost a fiver).

Replacement fuel tap for one of my bikes (3)

History Of Air Fighting by Johnnie Johnson, hardback, perfect (2)

A nice old wind-up German travelling alarm clock, mint and boxed
(2.50).

Last KP of the year, so always a biggie, and the weather was perfect.
Saw someone buy a tatty but running and (looked like) road legal GS550
for 150. Resisted buying an *immaculate* US import Yamaha XS750 triple,
all stock, for 800.

There are few better ways of spending a sunny Sunday morning than a good
jumble, IMHO.

Oh, I dunno. I've got the cash, but it's a lot of dough to blow just
before Christmas.

Well, it was obviously a case of feeble minds thinking alike, as I
wasn't prepared to splurge that much at the moment[1].

[1] OK, I lie. I would have bought a decent R90S for that sort of
money.
