Aye, fine. A Tesi!

Hmph, now, if you fancy a YB5, and are prepared to wave some real cash
money, I know where there is one.

It hasn't had much work..... I know the guy that owns it, and while it
isn't concourse nick, it's all there and a going concern.... some slight
cracking in the fairing, but, apart from the turn signals, all original
and, for a bike of its age, very low kilometres.

BTW, if I could have ridden this bike, I'd have bought it years ago.

Hehe, no thanks, I'm renovated and wads of cash in 20K lumps keep
disappearing, no money for bikes that aren't getting ridden. Besides
which, while I'd have loved a YB5 or SB? back then(SB4 was it ? Can't
remember which model was the late 80s Bimota with the Suzi engine), I
don't really desire any 80's technology now- the KR1 if I ever get
around to putting it back on the road (or on the track more likely) is
enough to sip from that well. If I buy a Bimota it'll be a modern one
less than a couple of years old.

The only old tech bike still on my serious buy list would be a 916/996
- and even then I'd vacillate and probably buy a 1098S instead

Mmm; yeah the Norton sure was a cutie.
I was in love with the little Bimota DB1. I thought it looked like a
boiled-lolly!
Watching Chris Oldfield campaign one in the ARRC was the reason I
started going back to bike races.

The 750 Paso was a sort-of mass-produced version of same so it was
more-likely my speed but I was quite poor those days and I think I was
riding an old air-cooled RD350 a friend had given me.
A year or so later I bought my first XJ900 and my life was never the
same again.......

Aye, but you are a sick person, Clem. :-)

I, too, thought it looked rather nice, but, when I found that when I
tried to sit on the thing, in the Toy Shop, in North Sydney, my legs
cramped up immediately, I sortof lost interest.

You poor person, you!

Aren't there government sponsored councelling services to deal with that
stuff?
