Yes, loads of times. I'd love to know how you think there'd be enough difference in speed between cars in those conditions for someone not to see normal rear lights in time. He's probably right. I think the only time I've ever used mine was on the motorway a good few years ago. Also I have front fogs which I replaced 4 years ago because the old ones were rusty inside but I can't be arsed to wire them up.
