I buy leather for protection, a HD jacket I tried on weighed about 8 pounds, my Fox Creek weighs 14 pounds so I'm thinking it has thicker leather which might help in case of a unintentional get-off. It also has several vents so I can comfortably wear it a bit longer before the Texas weather goes from "warm" to "urban Hell" temperatures. YMMV SKooter |
