It looks rather nice but I have severe doubts about the brakes. They
are barely adequate on the 350 so the 700 should really have something
a tad better.

You don't need brakes on an Enfield in India. The local advertising
slogan is "everyone moves over for a bullet" or something like that.

Not sure if the cows are included in that though.

When I rode an Enfield around India, the time I felt most vulneable
was when the horn stopped working. It's a more vital piece of safety
equipment than brakes or helmet. The brakes were shite anyway, plus
the rear brake was much better than the front, which had almost no
power (despite being the uprated 500cc version) and made the bike
weave horribly when applied!
