Yeah, I read a few ride reports on ADV by some guys in OR/NV and we've
been going out there and doing some "ADV" type riding (camping on
bigger bikes, easier terrain, views to die for, no one around) ever
since. It's addictive. I treasure the sound of silence that can only
be heard in the desert.

I hang out on CafeHusky alot. Nothing like this place, for sure, but
it's a good passionate crowd filled with all things Husqvarna. We'll
be having our 2-year anniversary this coming July and these are the

Not bad for a total noob forum with a narrow focus. Not too many Husky
riders around...

BARF is fun in a riotously immature way (Bay Area Riders Forum) and
South Bay Riders is good for all my Clear Creek stuff.

SuperMotoJunkie is fun sometimes. I posted on there awhile back and
someone said "Hey, there used to be WoodsChick on Rec.Moto.Dirt...is
that you?" and someone else said "RMD?? Is that place still alive?" I
felt like I was being outed <G>

I am unable to decide if that's sad, scary, or both.

You meet the nicest people on ADV ;-)

With the DRZ, I've started cruising thumpertalk for advice on setup.
I haven't spent much time there, but it seems mostly geared toward
wrenching on bikes, without much content on rides & community.
