If you do find someone familiar with the model you have, not being able to SEE the bike is a major drawback. Then there is the inevitable misunderstanding(s) in communication............ Good luck.

Gasoline doesn't flow until the engine produces vacuum by being cranked by the starter or by actually running. http://demo.motorsportdealers.com/modules/oemparts/partsimage.gifx?t=20071107093145352L57&z=2 The lever pointing straight down is probably ON, straight back is probably REServe, straight forward is probably PRIme. If you disconnect the fuel hose and turn the lever forward and gasoline starts running out, you'll know you have located the PRIme position. >the battery condition sender unit is missing and the flashing red >light is covered with black tape. how do i hook up the new unit? Did you actually buy a new sender for $20? If not, replace the battery with a maintenance free AGM type and screw the sender-type battery. The sender just completed a circuit to ground through the electrolyte in the battery. http://demo.motorsportdealers.com/modules/oemparts/partsimage.gifx?t=20071107093839784QAY&z=2 >also have a problem with rear brake sensor that I haven't looked at >yet. Well, there are only a few trolls in this NG. If somebody starts telling you that you're stupid for trying to fix your own bike or starts going on about RTFM, just ignore him. -- Message posted via MotorcycleKB.com http://www.motorcyclekb.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/tech/200711/1 |
