Yeah, that rules out the 400 Four - the sump juts down well below the frame rails. The YZ perched on it securely for a couple of weeks with the rear subframe, swinging arm and suspension off. Just needed a bit of 2 x 2 to act as an extra cross piece as the YZ has pretty short frame rails. Better than a standard height MX paddock lifting stand because they tend to be standard, fairly high, height. With this I was able to keep the front wheel firmly on the floor while suspending the rest at just the right height for the job. If ICBA I will construct some kind of adapter to take the Morini whilst accommodating the under-slung 2-1 exhaust. Must see if it would be feasible for the Voxan. For major work (i.e. engine out) on a GFR I use an Abba stand that picks up on the swinging arm pivot points. Being a Gilera they are the same size as the Nordwests. It tends to hoist it rather high, but being light the lever easily lifts it. -- +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: Peter(a)ps-fisher.demon.co.uk | | Voxan Roadster Yamaha WR250Z/Supermoto "Old Gimmer's Hillclimber" | | Gilera GFR * 2 Moto Morini 2C/375 Morini 350 "Forgotten Error" | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+
